About Julia

Julia is a non-religious Celebrant.  She believes in encouraging people to be themselves, to follow their dreams, to live the lives they want, to buck the trend, and not always follow the norm, by making their own choices.  Rites of passage are memorable occasions, once in a lifetime events, and Julia is passionate about working with you to design a ceremony or event that embodies exactly what you choose without compromising your individual needs, personalities or ‘beliefs’.

Julia has more than twenty years experience of organizing creative ceremonies and events.  She has designed unique, fun and memorable welcome ceremonies, alternative weddings and significant birthdays, and has helped many families with the emotional task of planning funerals and wakes that have been a true celebration of lives well lived.

Julia has been a public speaker for more than 30 years.  She is a well known Textile Artist, and earns part of her living as an educator, author and mentor.

She has an excellent command of the English language, first class organizational, communication and time management skills.  She is articulate and has a neutral accent and a strong voice.

Julia will be sensitive to your needs and spend time building a relationship with you and your loved ones to design a ceremony or event that is completely unique to you, and alternative to everyone else: a ceremony that will make a special memory and mark a special moment.
